I have blogged a little before how I am seeing crochet styles at all my go-to shops, so I wasn't altogether surprised when my mum sent me this article about crochet trends.  The funny thing is, I still don't think crochet trends are all that cool?  Like, when I see crochet clothes for sale, I either think:
- I could make that
OR
- That is hideous
OR
- Both
Haha!
Anyways, I guess I should crochet some more stuff before this trend goes out!

Visions Only Grey...

Hiya.  Things have been crazy busy up in this piece.  Work is non-stop, half marathon training is non-stop, and also I pretty much agree for plans to meet friends every other day.  FUN!! ...But not leaving a ton of time to work on these floves for my sis.  

Tonight I finally got down to business, and now my half-finished lefty flove has a right handed flove-buddy.  Check out the buddies below!  

Maybe it's just the Coors Lights talking, but OMG BESTIES!!!

A Little Hello

I have been under the weather this weekend.  Tonight I am finally taking it easy from my back-to-back days of back-to-back meetings, fun, and half marathon training.

So here is a long awaited (by no one) blog post.

Things I love right now:

- My sista moving back to the East Coast!
- Painting my nails fun colors to draw attention to my left hand.
- Mucho compliments on what might be best hair chop I ever got.
- Weekends of catching up with old friends & family.
- A sick night to finally maybe squeeeeze in some crochet & blogging!
- O, and also of course, YOU, TeaBeans reader!!

Fat Tuesday

Just a mini post today!  I spent two days on two different bikini tops.  They just aren't working out; too Madonna, if you know what I mean.  Today I spent a few hours on some floves for my sister, and I messed up the key focal point of the project, so I set that aside.

SO...things are in the works, but nothing to show today.

Chop Flop

Ok... so I know this isn't a blog about hair, but I today kind of had a "situation" (and not like the cool, Jersey Shore, Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino, Situation).  Marty said he wanted my hair short for our wedding so I was like, "Word, I like it short too, why am I growing it out?!"  So yesterday I hit up my girl, and I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but I ended up looking like SOMETHING.  Judge for yourself in the 2nd pic below.  Prison inmate?  Pyramid?  Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?  Anyways, I got it corrected by an awesome stylist tonight, and he said drying the curls was like "sculpting," and sculpting feels craft blog worthy.  What a day!!!!  So glad he could fix it!

Knitting and Other Notes

Mister donned an old failed crochet beanie.

I re-learned how to knit, courtesy Brooke.

I practiced some new knit stitches.  

I think this one has a real name, but it's just 1 row knit, 1 row purl.

Uneven-ness makes me embarrassed.  Must practice!

I attempted to teach Brooke, Christine, and Ingrid how to crochet.

I forgot how hard it is at first!

Finally, this might be the last you see of my long hair.  

I decided I am going to call up my girl to get a chop tomorrow!

Hope everyone had a fun weekend!  I got to see my girl Monica, and go for some running in gorgeous weather.  Also got some brunch and did a little wedding planning.  Eeeee!!!
