What I Did on My Summer Vacation

Mister crawled into my bag bc he finally realized he is too fat to fit into our shoes.

I started with the gauge on a hideous bathing suit pattern.

I had a big beer and painted my nails to some TLC & Bravo.

Hahaha can you imagine!  NO I did not spend my summer watching on-demand of NYInk, Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta, and Platinum Hit.  But I would if I could, friends.  There just aren't enough episodes to fill more than a few days.

Hot Weather Hot Trend

So, according to this article and (every single shop you go to), crochet is one of this summer's hottest trends.  The article goes on to tell you ways to wear the hot trend.  I guess I picked a poor time to take a break from crochet!

Anyways, I thought I would post some crochet inspiration as I sit inside with AC & fan blasting on the 2nd hottest day in NYC history.

1) Crochet accents.  This top reminds me of this one I made a couple years ago.  

2 & 3) I still would LOVE to make a crochet bikini.  These are pretty hideous, but good inspiration and helpful to look at the detail since I can't find an intelligible pattern.

4) Crochet headband.  That is all.

Team Teabeans!

Hi! Marty was just saying today that I should update my blog.  Fortunately, only minutes later, my future sis-in-law sent me this ADORABLE snapshot of my future nephew in the little hat I made for him!  So for all of you dying for a blog post, here goes:

Anyways, I hope to get some crochet mojo soon.  With work crazy and fabulous summer weather, it's hard to find any time to crochet at night!  Plus I am wedding planning, volunteering, and trying to squeeze in time to see my friends.

Side note, Marty just said to me, "WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?! YOUR IPOD FROM 2001?!"
Soooo that one Harvey Danger song and Saves the Day do not = current?  Suspect.

Hiya!  Haven't been blogging much lately; not much to share - not enough hours in the day!  I did get the honor of Volunteer of the Month at my cat shelter.  Heh.  Thought I would share.  Hopefully crochet something fun for you soon!!



Trendster

I have blogged a little before how I am seeing crochet styles at all my go-to shops, so I wasn't altogether surprised when my mum sent me this article about crochet trends.  The funny thing is, I still don't think crochet trends are all that cool?  Like, when I see crochet clothes for sale, I either think:
- I could make that
OR
- That is hideous
OR
- Both
Haha!
Anyways, I guess I should crochet some more stuff before this trend goes out!

Visions Only Grey...

Hiya.  Things have been crazy busy up in this piece.  Work is non-stop, half marathon training is non-stop, and also I pretty much agree for plans to meet friends every other day.  FUN!! ...But not leaving a ton of time to work on these floves for my sis.  

Tonight I finally got down to business, and now my half-finished lefty flove has a right handed flove-buddy.  Check out the buddies below!  

Maybe it's just the Coors Lights talking, but OMG BESTIES!!!

A Little Hello

I have been under the weather this weekend.  Tonight I am finally taking it easy from my back-to-back days of back-to-back meetings, fun, and half marathon training.

So here is a long awaited (by no one) blog post.

Things I love right now:

- My sista moving back to the East Coast!
- Painting my nails fun colors to draw attention to my left hand.
- Mucho compliments on what might be best hair chop I ever got.
- Weekends of catching up with old friends & family.
- A sick night to finally maybe squeeeeze in some crochet & blogging!
