Upon opening the brochure, I am greeted by the article: "What is Raffia?" Geez, this company has thought of everything! Apparently raffia is fronds of the Raffia palm tree. Right on. I am not sure, but I think I actually got balls and not hanks. Whatever. "Excellent for retail crafters, decoration, floral arrangements, gift wrapping." The Best Raffia from Madagascar
...Or so says the brochure that came with my five "hanks" of raffia today in the mail.
